China Town Cafe: Reviews & Ratings
So, We were originally going to Golden Oak in Oak ridge, (I honestly wish we had), before going in I looked at the reviews and was very worried, because 90% of them were bad, when we got in a nice waiter seated us, Got our drink orders, and brought them by quickly, then we got our food and stuffs, The Sweet and sour chicken was very chewy, Couldn't finish it, the Lo Mein was Okay.. not bad but not quite good either, The sushi wasn't the best either, It tasted weird, The Garlic bread was stale and hard, The popcorn shrimp was nasty, The only great thing about the food was the Mozzarella sticks and the dessert, I got the Star shaped bread things, And the lemon icing filled bread thing, they were really good I almost got all of it on my plate lol, The lemons were horrible though, Like usually I LOVE lemons- less expensive sour candy, But the lemons here were awful, Left a horrible aftertaste in my mouth even after I chugged a bottle of water and a bottle of sprite, Anyway, The people were nice, the waiter DID ask us how we were, Twice because we weren't there that long, She brought us the bill though when I hadn't had seconds yet or dessert so I don't know If I did a crime by eating more after she brought the bill... But it should be fine, if not, we'll, free dessert
Great food and always fresh, the place may be a little outdated and ran down but still clean and food is fresh, I eat here about once a month
Went there today for first time in a long time. It was horrible. I watched waitress clear off dirty dishes from tables and didn't clean tables wipe afterwards. The food was barely warm...edible but nothing great. I tend to wonder how the health inspector doesn't shut this Nasty place down. No plans of returning...I'm done.
I've been coming here for over 20 years and always enjoy the food and wonderful service. Best Chinese Restaurant and close to where I live.
The food is delicious, people are friendly, and the place is clean. They deserve a higher rating! Give em a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Welcome to China Town Cafe, where a rich tapestry of flavors and a vibrant dining experience await you. Nestled at 2221 Jacksboro Pike, LaFollette, TN 37766, this cozy establishment has garnered a diverse array of feedback from patrons, revealing a blend of satisfaction and critique.
As a food reviewer, I believe that each dining experience tells a story. China Town Cafe is no exception. With the warm smiles of the staff greeting you at the door, the ambiance is inviting, albeit with a touch of nostalgia—some customers have noted that the decor could benefit from an update. However, cleanliness remains at the forefront, with several reviewers pointing out that the restaurant is well-kept despite its age.
When it comes to the menu, the offerings showcase a mix of traditional Chinese cuisine staples alongside some unexpected surprises. Reviewers have highlighted the Sweet and Sour Chicken and Lo Mein as prominent choices. Though opinions may vary—some finding the chicken chewy and the Lo Mein merely "okay"—there's a consensus on the delectable Mozzarella sticks that have won hearts and appetite. Diners have also enjoyed unique desserts, with items like star-shaped bread and lemon icing-filled treats receiving praise. However, be cautious with the lemons; they have been described as a disappointment that lingers in the palate.
